Advent Calendar

I have been looking around for ideas for Advent Calendars, I slightly bored with traditional Chocolate Calendars, the chocolate is always crap, sometimes its hard to get the chocolates out so the calendar gets damaged or all the chocolate fall to the bottom. So this year I want to try something else.

I have looked around, and first I was gonna do 24 little bags on the tree, but it was gonna work out very expensive just for the bags as I would need to do 24 x 2. I did order a pack of 20 bags but they worked out at £7.95 and really I needed 3 packets, plus filling them!!

So the next idea is Christmas Cups on a ribbon!! I've bought everything I needed.

2 x 20 Christmas Cups from the Poundshop £2.00

1 x Ribbon from Sainsburys £1.39
1 x 20 Bags from Ebay £7.95
Sweets to Fill £5.50

It was all very easy to put together
  •  I just hole punched all the cups
  • Added numbers to the bottom of the cups
  • Threaded the ribbon threw the holes of the cups and added a couple of bags to make up to 24
  • Filled the bags will sweets
  • Then hung on the curtain rails.

I believe these will be a brilliant every year, as the children get older the items in the cups will just be different.
They will also be easy to take down and store away in your Christmas box ready for next year.

Please enjoy trying these out, my Kids love them, so will yours!!

There you have it done!!

  1. Aww this is such a fab idea :D There's so many different items you could put in the cups too. I think I need to get myself to the Poundland Christmas Shop! Eek.
